Q: What is CrossFit?
A: CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program based on constantly varied, functional movement done at high intensity. The goal at BIONIC CROSSFIT is to insure that you will be physically prepared to meet all of life’s demands. Everything from carrying groceries, running after the bus or your kids, and landscaping in the backyard or the demands of Law Enforcement, Fire Protection, and other First Responder duties. CrossFit is unique in that it prepares our trainees to perform at any given task imaginable. We train for the unknown.

Q: How do you do that?
A: We implement all 10 General Physical Skills of Fitness, Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. Through proper programming we use these 10 skills to create a WOD (Workout of The Day) that provides you with the best conditioning you’ve ever experienced!

Q: Is this for me?
A: ABSOLUTELY! Your needs and the Olympic athlete’s differ only by degree, not kind. Increased fitness is important to our world’s best athletes and to our grandparents. Not only will you be the fittest you’ve ever been, but your overall health will be rewarded as well. Measureable things such as Blood Pressure, Body Fat, Bone Density, Triglycerides, Good and Bad Cholesterol, Flexibility, Muscle Mass, etc.

Q: Will I/can I get big doing CrossFit?
A: If you train the WODs hard, and eat right and get lots of sleep, you will definitely gain lean mass, lose fat, and yes, you can build muscle mass with the CrossFit protocol.

Q: What about abs? We never do crunches…
A: Abs (“the core”) work to stabilize and support the body with most CrossFit movements: squats, deadlifts, the O-lifts, burpees, pushups, pullups (especially the kipping variety), etc. These movement patterns place greater emphasis on the abs working in concert with the rest of the body and will result in stronger muscles than the isolation of crunches.

Q: How is CrossFit different than P90X?
A: P90X only lasts 90 days and is repetitive; CrossFit lasts a lifetime and is constantly varied. P90X provides standard programming that you learn from a video; CrossFit gives you hands on instruction with certified trainers. CrossFit creates functional results through constantly varied functional movements practiced at high intensity, P90X practices isolated movements that have little functional value and create little neuroendocrine response.

Q: How long will it take to see some results?
A: In 2 – 4 weeks you’ll begin to see changes in your body and feel improvements in your attitude, mental sharpness, ability to move and capacity to respond to stress. You’ll look better and feel better faster than on any other workout you’ve ever done.

Q: Why is membership more expensive than LA Fitness, the Gold’s Gym or Big Sky?
A: The short answer is “it’s not.” The cost of local gyms and health clubs don’t include personalized small group training. They can have thousands of members because they know you won’t use the gym (if everyone did they would implode).

Our higher prices reflect our commitment to offering you the best possible personal fitness training around. Think about how much small group sessions or personal training sessions cost you ($50 to $100/hour). At BIONIC CROSSFIT, we charge our members less than $10 per class which is a great deal.

Remember, we don’t just show you a machine and tell you to use it, we work with you, teach you new movements, focus on your specific goals and make sure that you are reaping the benefits of CrossFit.
